Future Work

During 2008 Gisele has been based in Paris studying on the Laboratoire d’Etude du Mouvement course at L’Ecole Jacque LeCoq. While here she has continued to develop her cross genre collaboration between music and aerial work with teacher and director Jozef Houben. They will be presenting a piece-in-progress in July.


Having launched Fuxian and her album (published by Carlin Music) in front of an audience of 35,000 at Trafalgar Square at the Lord Mayor’s Chinese New Year celebration in February this year, Gisele and the band are lining up a number of gigs in the run up to the Beijing Olympics in August.

Gisele has been approached by Colchester Arts director Anthony Robert on a storytelling piece of her experiences of attempting to become a popstar in China. This will build on a short piece commissioned by BBC Radio 4 From Our Own Correspondent in 2004.
